Your comme...You're right, this is a superlong post. <BR/><BR/>Your comments about <I>A Town Like Alice</I> made me think of another Masterpiece Theatre movie (also not out on dvd, rrrrr): <I>The Peacock Spring</I>, starring Naveen Andrews and Hattie Morahan (the BBC's <I>Sense and Sensibility</I>). I know I've mentioned this before, but I love how after the two leads get together, it goes on after that to show them traveling across India together, getting crabby at each other and having all sorts of problems and issues, just like real people do when they're really tired and it's really hot out and they're young and in love. And then when they get to where they're going (I think to his grandmother's house), the girl jumps in the river to cool off, but he's still crabby, and the grandmother says, "She's got the right idea." <BR/><BR/>Okay, it's not really about the romance, but it is realistic and insightful and I really want to see it again.
